Acquisition criteria.

Written for brokers as much as owners: exact criteria, a single buyer to deal with, and a stated response time. This page is meant to be forwarded and printed.

Sector Service or distribution businesses

Businesses that win on reliability and relationships: commercial services, specialty trades, industrial or product distribution. The kind of operation my career prepared me to run.

Size Approximately $1–2M EBITDA

Large enough for a real team and real systems; small enough for one engaged owner to run personally.

Geography Texas, Florida, or Southern California metro areas

In and around major metropolitan areas. I will live where the business is.

Intent Long-term ownership, personally operated

I will run the business myself, full-time, as its owner. Not a platform, not a roll-up, not a flip.

The spec matters less than the character of the business: a real reputation with customers, a team worth developing, and an owner who wants the place to outlast them.

If you're unsure whether you fit, write anyway. The criteria are a guide, not a gate.

  1. 01

I read every inquiry personally. No form, no screening layer, no calendar widget.

  2. 02

I answer within two business days. That includes a clear no, so your time isn't wasted.

  3. 03

I'm the buyer and the operator, backed by a small group of investors. Their backing means I can close; the person you deal with, start to finish, is me.

Send the listing, the business summary, or the question. If it looks close, I will tell you plainly.

Read personally. Answered within two business days. Held in confidence.
